The Avventura

 What is it?

Like the name says, an adventure bike. I designed this bike to take me on adventures, from day trips to multi-day escapes to the wilderness. With space for a custom frame bag, bottle cage, and fork mounts you can carry as little or as much luggage as you wish.

With unfiled brazing, it fits with my ethos of a functional, yet beautiful aesthetic. Filed fillets don’t make you go any faster, but they cost you more. Therefore I won’t spend hours filing, sanding and polishing them and you’ll save money; you can see exactly how the frame went together. Every frame bears the fingerprint of the day I made it. No two have identical fillets, but all are equally beautiful.

What’s it like to ride?

Clearance for 700c 40mm tires with mudguards you have plenty of choices for tires and with predictable handling, you can take it on some gravel if that’s your thing.

The oval top tube reduces any flex from the front when you are powering up the climbs and the Reynolds 853 chain stays and downtube make sure your hard work goes right to the back wheel and keeps you moving at pace.

Sliding dropouts mean you can run this single-speed, hub geared, or with a derailleur.

What’s it made of?

A mix of Reynolds tubing from 853 and 725 sourced locally in Birmingham. Tubes are picked to maximise ride quality and responsiveness whilst enabling you to ride 100s of kilometres.

What size does it come in?

I have a range of base sizes, but everyone will be tailored to your exact size based on the components you want to use. I can either do you a bike fit, or we can work from your existing bike. Either way, it’ll be the perfect fit for you.

How much does it cost?

£2000 for a frame, forks and headset.
